As Halloween had passed, it’s getting chillier by the day. It’s time for fluffy, warm sweaters. But there’s a new warm & comfortable sheriff in town – The Poncho.
Since last year, ponchos were everywhere from Fashion Week outfits to walking-the-dog-in-the-park outfits.
To me, the poncho has always seemed just a large, formless piece of material. But how come such a piece of cloth can look so chic and make me want it so bad, I do not know.

How to wear the poncho
Now that we’ve seen what ponchos we can buy online, let’s figure out how we can wear it & integrate it into our everyday outfits.
If you’re uncertain about how colors would look on you and want the poncho to seem a bit more elegant you should go the Palermo way with an all-black outfit.
On the opposite side there’s the statement poncho like the one below, worn by Mira Duma. Note that the outfit is in the same chromatic range, with small accents from the poncho.
Have a granny who knows how to knit? Put her to work! Just kidding, don’t exploit your grandma! Handmade ponchos from wool or other warm, fuzzy material will always look cool and certainly make your look feel unique.
Do you like simple clothes without prints and patterns? You are not alone! Angelina Jolie likes them too! Check out this simple grey poncho.
You can also wear a poncho with a narrow belt over it. This will create that hourglass silhouette that’s been voted as the most attractive of all body types.
Wear your poncho with leather. Trust me, anything looks chic with leather pants.
That’s all for today, the chic outfits featuring ponchos for this fall are over. 🙁
