I was reading the other day on a blog that there are some boots celebrities won’t leave home without this winter.
The same boots have been showcased in most Winter 2017 collections of the most important international designers.
We are talking here about the over-the-knee boots with a medium or high block heel. Since block heel shoes and booties were a hot fall trend, it only seems natural that the trend will continue this winter.
And if celebrities can’t live without these boots, why would we? Kidding! They are gorgeous, no matter how picky we are when it comes to fashion.
This is why I searched for online retailers selling over-the-knee boots with a block heel at affordable prices. The boots that I’ve seen advertised on the international blog cost around $800, and if you really really want to buy them, you can find them here.

How to style the over-the-knee boots
I invite you to take a look at how celebrities and fashion bloggers wear the suede over-the-knee boots with a block heel.
Celebrities are the real street fashion trendsetters, so I quickly analyzed their outfits and picked out a few that featured a pair of over-the-knee boots.
Miroslava Duma is as chic as you can be. She paired the over the knee boots with an elegant short dress. The result: a girly, feminine and elegant outfit.
Chrissy Teigen chose to wear the over-the-knee- boots with a pair of jeans shorts and an oversized tee. The colors she chose for this outfit empathizes the caramel brown of the boots and that effect makes them the center of attention.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley chose a grey ensemble, skirt and over the knee boots, with a white, cozy sweater.
Gigi Hadid looks like a million bucks in an all-black outfit with suede over-the-knee boots. This outfit looks good on both skinny girls and plus size girls. These over-the-knee boots are flattering no matter what size you wear.
You just have to play with the colors. In case you don’t feel comfortable wearing a colorful outfit, you can always count on the slimming effect of the monochrome look.
Miranda Kerr’s outfit is by far my favorite. Not an all-black outfit, like the one Gigi Hadid wore, but still flawless.
Which outfit do you like most?
Are over-the-knee boots appropriate for work? Yes or no?
One of my readers asked me the other day if over-the-knee boots are appropriate for work. And if they are office appropriate, how do you wear them for skinny short legs? Will the over-the-knee boots make me look shorter? Should I wear flat boots or heels?
Being a short skinny leg gal myself I’ve put myself the same questions. And then some 🙂 .
So let’s answer one question at a time.
Should you wear over-the-knee boots at work?
When it comes to wearing over-the-knee boots to work there’s a fine line between appropriate and too much. go on neutrals like grey and taupe suede over-the-knee boots. Pair them with opaque tights and a midi dress.
For a more office appropriate look choose a pair of suede over-the-knee boots with a block heel.
You should avoid wearing short skirts and dresses with over-the-knee boots at work. Save the look for date night.
Are over-the-knee boots making me look shorter?
If you wear jeans or pants in the same color as the boots I am sure you won’t look shorter. Remember Gigi Hadid’s or Miranda Kerr’s outfits?
The rest of the outfit should be fitted also. You can add a long cardigan or a long vest to elongate the silhouette.
Get a proper fit. Anny sagginess visually adds a few more pounds and that’s not something we need.
Stay away from prints. Choose solid colors instead. And last but not least wear the over-the-knee boots with confidence!

Flat or heels over-the-knee boots?
When I think of over the knee boots with high heel the first image that comes to mind is Pretty Woman. And I don’t want to channel that. So if you want heels, go for block ones, even if they are higher.
The comfiest way to wear over-the-knee boots though is flat. And you don’t always need heels to look stylish.
How to keep over-the-knee boots up?
That’s the most annoying thing when wearing over the knee boots. But there is a solution to this problem.
Most over the knee boots have a V shape at the back of them. You could cut the stitching and put some elastic in there. Glue it, stitch it back up. You need to be extra careful with the stitching. If you don’t have enough patience you need to go to the cobbler for this.
Those were my thoughts of the day on the sexy & stylish women’s suede over-the-knee boots with a block heel that should make your shopping list this winter. Keep it classy and…
